What does digital mean in the evolution of Corporate Treasuries?
How does a Corporate Treasurer deal with all developments in the digital space? Blockchain, Big Data, Cryptocurrencies, Machine Learning – these are not only myth or buzzwords, there are pragmatic and tangible solutions available and already deployed with corporates. EY is keen to present real cases at the Fides Conference 2018 in the fields of cash & liquidity management, intercompany financing or payments and with that also share an understanding of what, when and how such evolution should or will be happening.
Martin Walder, Head of Product Management Payments at Credit Suisse
Payment Services get closer to the client
While many of the innovations and developments in payment services have been or still are driven by operation excellence or regulatory requirements, initiatives like SWIFT gpi (global payment innovation) or the corporate API in Switzerland are developed as well to get the client more involved and better informed. This two examples are showing how the banking industry has taken up the needs and developments in den corporate world.
Nicolas Christiaen, CEO, Cashforce
Next-Generation Cash Forecasting
As technology advances, data is progressively becoming the lifeblood of any organization. While making the way for countless opportunities it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain a clear picture of this exuberant amount of data, let alone to effectively leverage it. Cashforce will explain how the treasury & finance department is perfectly positioned to integrate and analyze all this relevant data for better cash visibility as well as cash forecasting accuracy, and how it can act as a business catalyst for cash generation opportunities throughout the company.
Paul Higdon, CO-CTO, ION Treasury
New ways of working in treasury
The way we spend our time and where we spend our time is changing. We live in moments, constantly connected to people and information. Our work in treasury is also marked in moments. In this session, we will review how ION Treasury empowers treasury teams to rethink treasury and create a new way of working.
Ryan Gaylor, Director Corporate Payments, Ripple
Blockchain and the Future of Cross-Border Payments
What really counts in today’s global payment environment are access, speed, transparency and certainty and cost. RippleNet offers one experience to send money globally, using blockchain technology to allow instant, on-demand settlement, real-time traceability of funds and low operational and liquidity costs. Learn how other corporates are working with banks and other financial institutions to realize the benefits of blockchain for cross-border payments
