The Fides Client Relations and Marketing team has been busy preparing for the upcoming Fides Community Conference, which will be held September 6 at SIX ConventionPoint in Zurich — and we hope you will be able to join us!

We’ve taken your feedback from past events and combined it with the experience we have gained, and have put together an exciting one-day program packed with education, fun, and networking opportunities for our clients, partners and prospects.

Here is a behind-the-scenes peek into the planning process and our goals for the event.

Date, Location and Logistics

The first thing we start with is determining the best date for the conference. We try to have our event around the same time each year, in early September after the summer holiday season has ended. Quite a few of our attendees travel in for the event, and many like to stay on for a weekend afterwards, so we once again chose a Friday.

The venue we used last year, St. Peter’s Forum, was already booked for another event. Luckily, we were able to find space at SIX ConventionPoint, which will give attendees a chance to see a different location and is also accessible using public transportation.

The event timing of 8:30am – 5:30pm is equivalent to a regular workday — not too long, and not too short. If people need to leave to get home or catch flights or trains, they can do so, but we hope that the majority will stay for the closing reception once the conference sessions end.

Content is King

Even the best location in the world isn’t enough without the right content. Creating a compelling conference program is of the utmost importance. We analyzed the session feedback from last year, and listened to what our attendees had to say.

As exciting as we thought our external speakers were last year, our delegates wanted to hear more about Fides, from Fides executives and project management. And, they wanted more breaks and networking time, to connect with the Fides team and their peers.

So this year’s program has more Fides presenters, covering business plans, product plans, and future plans — information you won’t be able to get all at once anywhere else. And there is a lot to share, from new versions of EFTweb and ARSweb to the new multibanking platform infrastructure we are building that will allow us to offer new and exciting capabilities for future innovation.

We’ll have demonstration kiosks, breakout sessions and opportunities to ask project management implementation questions, and plenty of time for building connections and relationships.

But that doesn’t mean we won’t have any external speakers. We’ve got representatives from SWIFT, Strategic Treasurer, Schwabe, Ley & Greiner (SLG), and Credit Suisse lined up to share interesting industry information as well. The program will be in English, as a language that is common to attendees from multiple countries.

Awards Program

One of our favorite things about getting the Fides Community together is the ability to recognize our customers and partners. Our 2018 awards program was a big success, and we look forward to honoring the members of our ecosystem again this year with a special awards ceremony.

Pre-Conference Evening Cruise

Because so many customers arrive the day before the event, we decided to once again host a pre-conference evening event exclusively for our registered customers, prospects and partners. For us, it is another chance to spend time with our customers, partners and prospects and show off the beauty of our headquarters city.

Everyone loved the boat last year so this year we have booked an even larger boat (with both indoor and outdoor space and room for up to 80 delegates) and are planning a full dinner….and some special entertainment and giveaways as well!

Personal Outreach

Our dedication to customer service underpins everything we do at Fides, and all our relationships are important to us. So while you may have received our periodic newsletter with information on the conference, this year we’ve also been doing more personal outreach to invite our customers and partners individually.

How to Register
