Zurich, June 3, 2010Save the date – Fides Community Conference and 100th Anniversary Celebration on the 5th October
Fides is celebrating its 100th Anniversary with a Community Conference with an evening event for its customers and partners in the seminar centre Bocken near Zurich on October 5, 2010. Guest speakers from TetraPak, RioTinto, Elsevier Reed, Wallstreet Systems, ELCY and Credit Suisse will talk on challenges and trends in the worldwide treasury and payment business. The conference is followed by an evening event in the wine cellar of Credit Suisse’s land house. The conference takes place one day before Eurofinance Conference in Geneva, Switzerland – ideal to combine. The detailed agenda is not yet defined. Fides has decided to replace its current SWIFT connectivity through Credit Suisse by a SWIFT Alliance Access and SWIFT Alliance Gateway solution from SWIFT. The new solution will allow Fides to offer its customers a broader range of formats and a hybrid SWIFT Service Bureau model. Bruno Nyffeler is Fides’s new Head of the Development Team and Co-Chief Developer. Bruno joins Fides from The MathWorks, Cambridge (UK), a leading producer of mathematical software for technical engineering. Bruno holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Berne and has more than 15 years experience in modern software engineering.

As of January 4, 2010, Fides is expanding its official support hours. The new full-service support hours are from Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 8:30pm CET. From 8:30pm to 7:00am customer can reach the Emergency Hotline, which will support on technical processing issues, overlimit payments and urgent investigations on missing bank data. The night duty will access the Fides Systems remotely. The Fides Support Team and the Emergency Hotline can be reached via the same number +41 44 298 6555.
Zurich, December 23, 2009Fides ARS Web with real-time load error report on statements
Fides is validating and quality checking statements before they get uploaded on the database. Erroneous or illogical statements get stopped in the processing and the Fides Operations Team analyses the statements and – if possible – corrects the errors. Since the beginning of December, customers can view a real-time load error status report on the ARS Web Client. This new feature gives you more transparency on missing statements. If a statement is not loaded and not on the load error table, it was not delivered to Fides.

Fides equipped for potential pandemic
A potential pandemic can, due to illness and/or the care of suffering family members lead to the
absence of more than 25% of staff. For this eventuality, Fides has re-worked its pandemic preparedness
plan. It is important to note, that the Fides systems run permanently in a 24 hour operating mode.
The “Straight-Through-Processing” transactions are always processed immediately.
In addition, all staff members can now also access remotely, from an external location, all systems
which are relevant for them in their daily business.
This remote access is carried out over a VPN tunnel (encryption) with secure token authentication.
This technology is consistent with the highest security standards of the time.
In order to accomplish the work of the customer
support, the operations and of the OFAC teams, effectively in the case of a pandemic, daily
teleconferences would be held, to distribute the tasks amongst the healthy members of staff as
well as those in quarantine.
Fides cracks 600 mark of enabled bank relationships worldwide for SWIFT Payment Instructions (MT 1xx - Series)
Leveraging its BIC and existing bank relationships, Fides can offer its customers a fast-path setup service for payment instructions to their SWIFT banks worldwide. During July 2009, Fides cracked the border of 600 enabled SWIFT Relationship Management Applications (RMA), which include 562 banks for the sending of payment forwarding services. Additional bank relationships will be established on customer demand.

The Board of Directors of the Fides Treasury Services Ltd. announced Dennis Flad as the new CEO of Fides Treasury Services Ltd.. The former CEO Fritz Thomas Klein was promoted to a Managing Director role within Fides parent company the Credit Suisse Group AG. Dennis Flad has joined Fides to support the business and strategy development of the company in January 2009. He headed previously the Product Management Payment Products at Credit Suisse and was responsible for the SEPA Program of the Group.

Fides Treasury Services Ltd. published on April 3, 2009 the Release 1.0 of its new website. The new website gives now a holistic view on the Fides services portfolio. Compared to the old website the new one distinguished between Solutions for Corporates and Solutions for Banks. The site also includes now frequently launched solutions such as bulk payments, cash drawing or cash pooling. (fd)

Not all banks in this world are able to deliver account statements via SWIFT. Especially banks in emerging markets and development countries, where many of our customers have manufacturing facilities or joint-ventures, are often only able to send statements as password protected email attachments. Fides has now developed a conversion solution to feed these statements into the Fides Account Reporting System (ARS) and provide them to their customers in a unified format through a unified channel.
